Yes. Most malls, shops, restaurants and attractions stay open on public holidays, and public transport runs as normal. Government offices, banks and most schools are closed.
Do you get paid extra for working on a public holiday in Singapore?
Under the Employment Act, an employee covered by the Act who works on a gazetted public holiday is entitled to an extra day's salary (or a day off in lieu), on top of their gross pay for that day.
